**Grant Ball – Creating a Server from Scratch**
As a group of developers, what would be more fitting than to create our own physical server? In an inspiring example of pulling ourselves up by our own bootstraps, we will create a server from parts. We assemble the cards, drives, chassis, install operating systems, etc. You get a rare chance to see this process of building a computer from start to finish.
This machine will become the home for member projects, a place you can serve your applications on the internet. Have you thought about doing projects and then thought “But where would I host it?” Now we have that taken care of. We are reducing the barrier between your ideas and the realization of your app.

It is a shiny new year and a new chance to become more productive. Over the break did you do any end-of-year reflection on your goals and methodologies?
Have you decided to adopt a new productivity methodology: GTD, Atomic Habits, Time Chunking, Personal Kanban, …
Did you find any new tools, apps, plugins that you would like to share?
Have you found any new blogs, podcasts or classes you could share?
The end of the year is traditionally a time for renewing your approach and commitment. We will share hopes and approaches to the new year.
